History
Tanzania Professionals Network was previously Peers Group, a formal registered association with a name SCOPE 2000. The name Peers Group is was popular because initially the group consisted of Graduates from University with POSITIVE ATTITUDE and certain age group. The group quickly gre to more than 500 Graduate Members within and outside the country.

2. Change of Direction
| 2004 Started Emailing Forum and had exhaustive debate about Brain Drain | |
| In 2005 New Year Dinner we formed a Task Force Committee which drafted the Constitution and later we started discussing about Poverty Eradication. | |
3. Entrepreneurship Villages

In 2006 New Year Dinner we discussed and agreed on how we can raise funds for our programmes at the same time bringing in a value in these fund raising events. We agreed on organizing a Football Match of Ministers vs. Diplomats and we also agreed on organizing an event to be known as Dar Es Salaam Carnival Festivals. The fund will be used in establishing Entrepreneurs hip Villages. These will be productive villages which are Modern, well Researched, with wee Trained villagers and also well Organized

4. Formalization of the Group

In April 2006 Peers Group had a Business Meeting at DICC. We agreed on various issues including programmes and projects

Peers Group formally adopted SCOPE 2000 an Association with similar objectives with its members also being Members of Peers Group

The Peers Group Progress and Achievement by then included: Having a Domain name for our email addresses, a Website, reputable recognition and a strong network and communication assisting us in various way including Funding issues, Employment, Business etc.

It was later agreed by some Graduates, Intellectuals and Professionals that a General Assembly of all Graduates, Intellectuals and Professionals in Tanzania be called on Sunday 29th July 2007 in DSM at a NSSF Water Front from 2.00 PM. More than 300 People will attend. During the meeting, a Network of Tanzania Professionals (TPN) was formally launched after the Draft Constitution has been adopted. The First leaders were then be elected as office bearers. Today TPN is a an organization of various professionals including the CEOs, Directors, Managers, Businessmen, Senior Officials etc. |
